When my words feel muddled, I turn to visual…and I am humbly coming with so much rage and weeping burrowed in my soul with this.
I am reminded of Donisha Prendergast’s words,
The interesting thing when we say even the term, One Love. Because, ya know my grandfather sing it and made it sound so nice
“One love /one heart/ let’s get together and feel alright.” And then he says, “hear the children cryin’ / hear the children cryin’”
I want to know how many people hear THAT part of the song and understand what he was singin’
I want to know too. When is it enough? When is it fucking enough?
So, a Few Thoughts…
We have failed as a species. For nearly two years, we’ve watched Genocide in real time on our smart phones and done nothing smart about it.
Children are dying on our watches, literally those damn things you use to run and time yourself, are starving and finding ways to document themselves. Racism and sexism and elitism have emerged in ways we don’t want to look because our society is sick and entrenched in the brainwash of it all.
What will it take to go beyond hopeless bypass, to stand in front of the ships delivering weapons? Greece did it. Our Native brothers and sisters went to stop pipelines. And so, what will it take to fight in mass for our kids?
When will it be enough to see their hell and give up the fantasy punishments and reward systems, rooted in “whataboutisms,” there is no heaven that calls for this. There is no greater hell than what Gaza’s kids are enduring.
American white Christians, I am looking at YOU. You are a stain on the Earth that does not belong. Look what you brought to pass. Zionism is your cult, a cult you began, and born out of desperation for domination and it’s nothing more than a killer of hope, injustice as it inflicts hell. Is this what you wanted?
Or are you finally on your knees now? I am so rightfully angry. There is NO sin in this emotion. Did you know a Palestinian Jew, known as a Jesus character 2000 years ago got angry? He might be burning your churches today and sure as hell would turn over the coffee bar...
So if you have an integrity left, if you have any honor, light them up and tear those fucking temples down. Yes, literally. Figuratively. Light them up and burn it all to the ground. Walk away, and give the spoils to Gaza’s kids and yes, your Palestinian Christian brothers who last villages are being attacked and stripped by the monsters you help create and pay for.
As a Palestinian Doctor in the Occupied Golan Heights once said to me, “No god asks for a thing like this.”
What will it take? Hear the children…
Whimpering in hunger and starvation and pain as they die out, targeted by a cult of domination.
We must fight back. We must step into a new way of being. We must confront ourselves and course correct. We must hold ourselves accountable for our complicity and realize where we’ve been duped. Shed the shame and get angry and take action.
We need more than peaceful aid flotillas now.
Our hungry brothers and sisters need us to take up arms and intercede on their behalf, to have their back, to get loud and burn our empires to the ground.
So let’s go. Yalla
